BOOK DESIGN

West Wind 2022 - 2023
As Creative Director & Designer for APU's literary Journal, The West Wind, I developed a theme alongside my two Editors-in-Chief, demonstrating this major theme of transition. We wanted a genderless figure to invite any and everyone into the journal. My apprentice was a necessary asset in my creative direction, and she was most active in designing these characters, curating the 2D art section, and planning the cover design. I executed the Photoshop work on the front cover and assembled all other sections of the journal. We finished the project with about 200 printed books.
The journal encompasses the following:
- Front Matter (Editors, Table of Contents, Letter from Editors-in-Chief)
- 2D Art
- Creative Nonfiction
- Poetry
- Fiction
- Final Letters

In addition to designing this journal, I was also fortunate enough to have my creative writings published—being the only writer who had a piece accepted in every genre.
